CoachHub has announced the launch of what it calls the ‘world’s first conversational AI coach’ in a strategic partnership with Microsoft.
The news was unveiled at a multi-city live event from New York, Berlin, Paris and London this week.
UNLEASH Editor-in-Chief Nima Sherpa Green was at the London Stock Exchange conference to hear CEO Matti Niebelschütz share his goal to “democratize coaching”.
“When I was a first-time manager, coaching was something that was very exclusive to the 0.1% of the workforce, mostly executives. Meanwhile, most people couldn’t even dream of getting their own coach. I was lucky enough to experience it early on in my career, and I have to admit, it was transformative as a first time leader.
With AIMY™, this is about making professional growth accessible at a global scale,” he added.
“We’re now entering the people era, where every employee, regardless of their position, has access to coaching that’s personalized and tailored to their needs. AIMY™ breaks barriers in talent development and helps organizations unlock the full potential of their people.”
AI in Coaching: Key Considerations for HR Leaders
HR leaders heard from the developers of the new AI tool on CoachHub’s efforts around compliance with existing AI regulations, and how Germany-HQ vendor built AIMY™ leveraging established internationally accredited human coaching frameworks.
In a live demo, the audience were shown how an employee, manager or leader can customize the AI coach via choosing voice, personality and approach to meet individual preferences and specific workplace needs.
“With 24/7 availability, multilingual support and seamless device compatibility, AIMY™ bridges organizational goals and personal development,” CEO Niebelschütz said.
CoachHub’s tool is powered by Microsoft Azure, using the hyperscaler giant’s Azure AI Foundry to process secure, GDPR-compliant data.
Futurist keynote speaker Bernard Marr shared his view that all companies should be embracing AI tools that tackle genuine world challenges.
“When looking at the future of work, I believe that AI is the most powerful technology humans have ever encountered, and it will completely transform all of our jobs and all of our businesses.
“And if you don’t see yourself as an AI company, or at the very least an AI-enabled business – every day that you don’t do this, you will fall behind. It is literally that transformative. And I believe that artificial intelligence is triggering a new age of hyper innovation.”
When speaking about the “real world challenges” his company’s tool solves, Niebelschütz encouraged HR leaders to remember the human element of coaching.
“According to the International Coaching Federation, 62% of companies report an increase in retention of high performance after coaching; 65% of companies report higher profitability; and a stunning 85% of organizations report a higher customer satisfaction.
That reminds me of the words of the entrepreneur Richard Branson: ‘Take good care of your people so they take good care of your customers.'”
CoachHub tells UNLEASH the tool is available for customers as of Q1 2025.
