Phenom to address HR leaders’ ‘biggest infrastructure challenges’ with Included AI acquisition

Skills shortages are affecting businesses across the world – skills are the main bottleneck to growth – and the situation is only going to get worse.
According to research by the World Economic Forum, 44% of workers’ core skills will be disrupted between now and 2027.
One solution to the skills challenges is artificial intelligence (AI).
It can help take the manual work out of skills mapping for HR teams, and ultimately better connect employees with the right learning paths.
In this context, New York-headquartered learning tech company 360Learning has already been experimenting with AI, but now it is taking its platform one step further by buying French-based AI skills management startup eLamp.
eLamp’s AI technology will be immediately integrated into 360Learning’s platform.
Talking exclusively to UNLEASH about the acquisition, Nick Hernandez, CEO and founder at 360Learning, shares: “Our acquisition comes at a key time in the evolution of skills-based learning and the wider landscape of HR tech.
"We’re seeing a wave of retirements in key sectors, and the need to quickly identify and fill skills gaps has become urgent.”
eLamp’s co-founder and CEO (and now chief skills officer at 360Learning) Olivier Rohou shared: “What's exciting with 360Learning’s acquisition is that we'll now be able to fully unlock the value of becoming a skills-based organization – from understanding skill gaps to launching upskilling and reskilling initiatives powered by collaborative learning.
“We need to learn new skills and we need to know what those skills are to receive the right education - it's a perfect match!”
UNLEASH was keen to find out the impact of the acquisition on both company’s customers.
eLamp already works with big engineering and manufacturing customers, but now its AI-powered skills platform will be available to 360Learning’s customers, which include brands like LVMH, Veolio, Pernod Ricard, Air Canada, and Trustpilot.
Hernandez adds: “eLamp is a pioneer in leveraging AI to understand and manage such skills and gaps at an organizational level.
"Its focus on highly technical industries has shown just how transformative AI can be in addressing even the most complex skills challenges.”
Automation and AI is going to be front and center at UNLEASH World 2023.
