UNLEASH America: AI is going to impact jobs, so ‘who is better to partner with the CIO than the head of HR?’
AI is, of course, top of the agenda for UNLEASH America 2025 - make sure you join us in Las Vegas in May! Looking back at UNLEASH America 2024, Marguerite Eastwood, CHRO at the US Chamber of Commerce, sat down with UNLEASH for an exclusive interview to share her thoughts on why HR must have a seat at the table on AI.
As we set our sights on Las Vegas for UNLEASH America 2025, the Editorial team is revisiting some of the fantastic conversations we had with insightful HR leaders who took the stage at last year’s International Festival of HR.
Back in May 2024, our Chief Reporter Allie Nawrat had the pleasure of sitting down exclusively with Marguerite Eastwood, CHRO at the US Chamber of Commerce, to discuss the HR topic of the moment: AI.
While the Chamber’s CIO, Bill Jewell, has been leading the way on AI, Eastwood has been a close partner throughout – her view is “if I don’t have a seat at the table, then I am going to be falling behind”.
Given the impact that AI is going to have on jobs, “who is better to partner with the CIO than the Head of HR?” Eastwood shares in the interview.
While Eastwood is very optimistic about the future of AI on the HR landscape, she is very aware that these tools are only at their infancy stages.
Unsurprisingly, AI remains top of the agenda for HR leaders, and so will have a central role at the this year’s UNLEASH America show!
We’ve got the likes of Doug Fisher, Chief AI officer at Lenovo, Mastercard’s EVP of People Operations & Insight Anshul Sheopuri, Alexis Bonnell, the Air Force Research Laboratory’s CIO, sharing their AI expertise on stage in May.
