ServiceNow is acquiring Mapwize, an indoor mapping startup that helps employees reserve office space during hybrid work.
In another sign that the HR tech giant is betting on a long-term future of hybrid work, the plan is for Mapwize, based in Lille, France, to be built into ServiceNow’s NOW platform and Workplace Delivery suite.
Together they will be able to provide indoor mapping and wayfinding capabilities that create consumer-grade experiences for employees as they reserve seats, conference rooms, workspaces and workplace resources, as well as navigate offices, from their desktop or mobile devices. Mapwize will also help workplace teams manage and update floor maps based on usage trends and evolving real estate needs.
HR tech solution
Mapwize is already being used in many different industries, such as education, retail, transportation, hospitality, events and health case and they already work with Tableau and Microsoft, including Microsoft Teams. Post-pandemic its possibilities in HR tech are endless.
With ServiceNow, Mapwize capabilities will also help workplace teams manage and update floor maps based on usage trends and evolving real-estate needs.
“In the new world of hybrid work, the role of workplace services has never been more critical in creating great employee experiences,”
said Blake McConnell, SVP of Employee Workflows at ServiceNow.
“With Mapwize, ServiceNow will power the future of employee experiences by making it easier for people to navigate their work environment and access the workspace information and workplace services they need to remain productive,” McConnell added.
