Hot on the heels of Ericsson publishing its Q4 financial results, the telecomms giant has announced that Charlotte Levert will take over from MajBritt Arfert as its Chief People Officer.

Swedish-headquartered telecommunications giant Ericsson has appointed Charlotte Levert as Chief People Officer, Senior Vice-President and Head of Group Function People.
Talking about the decision, Arfert shared: “It has been an incredible journey and a privilege to serve as Ericsson’s CPO during and to work with such an extraordinary group of people.
“I am deeply proud of the work we have done in transforming the Company. Ericsson is well positioned globally to continue building on its industry-leading position and to expand into enterprise.
“This is the right time for me to move on and to explore new adventures in life.”
Writing on LinkedIn about her appointment, Levert shared that she is “truly honored and excited to start co-creating together with leaders and employees on how we can continue building a diverse, inclusive and future ready organization”.
This announcement comes just after Ericsson reported its fourth quarter results for 2024.
Sales increased 2% year-on-year, hitting 72.91 billion Swedish Krona ($6.8 billion), while net cash for the quarter reached 37.8 billion Swedish Krona ($3.53 billion), an increase of 383% year-on-year.
Inside Levert’s HR career to date
Levert has been working at Ericsson for six years – she’s served as VP, and Head of People for the Managed Services and Cloud Software and services segments of the business.
Prior to Ericsson, Levert worked at Tieto and GE Healthcare.
Talking about the Levert’s appointment, Ericsson’s CEO and President said: “Charlotte will be an integral part as we are entering the next chapter of Ericsson’s strategy and in the continued evolution of the People agenda.
“She brings a strong track record from different organizations including different parts of Ericsson and I’m very much looking forward to having Charlotte join the Executive Team.”
