Progyny, Inc, a women’s health benefit solutions company, has announced the acquisition of fertility benefit platform Apryl, to expand its global offering.
New York-based Progyny is a global benefits solution provider which supports multinational employers, operating in over 100 different counties.
It therefore provides employers with the flexibility to comply with the many different intricacies of country-specific laws, for example, those related to family building services, treatments, benefit design and fertility.
By acquiring Berlin-based Apryl, Progyny will be able to better support employees across the globe – particularly those planning to build a family and those navigating fertility issues.
Pete Anevski, CEO of Progyny, expressed that he was “excited to broaden” Progyny’s support on a global scale.
He added: “Employers recognize the importance of providing fertility and family building benefits and want to be able to streamline these efforts to ensure their employees have equitable benefits and consistent high-touch experiences, regardless of where they live.”
Improving fertility treatments for businesses and employees across the globe
By joining forces with Apryl, Progyny will continue to offer a wide range of benefits to its customers, by providing holistic support across preconception, fertility treatments, adoption, and surrogacy; streamlined patient experience; access to thousands of vetted fertility clinics; and many more benefits.
Enthusiastic about the acquisitions, Jenny Saft, Co-founder at Apryl shared on LinkedIn: “Today is a special day: I am so incredibly happy to announce that Apryl has officially signed an agreement to become part of Progyny, Inc., the leading US fertility benefits provider.
This partnership marks a significant step towards realizing our mission to make fertility treatments accessible to everyone, irrespective of age, gender, sexual orientation, or financial means.
“With this acquisition, Apryl will continue to thrive under its core values and with the existing team but with significantly broader reach and impact.”
Continuing, Saft explains that she and Apryl’s second Co-Founder, Tobias Caterba, saw the “incredible solution” that Progyny created in the US and aimed to replicate this globally, by founding Apryl.
Now, five years on, the business is joining forces with Progyny to “bring employers and their employees around the world access to best-in-class benefits that make dreams of family come true.”
Stay tuned in coming months to hear about the progress of the acquisition.
