Humi to be acquired by Employment Hero in $69.5 million deal

Following Paychex’s recent acquisition of Paycor, 2025 has seen yet another significant deal in the HR sector. 

As part of a $100 million+ global expansion move, HR software, payroll and benefits platform Employment Hero has acquired Humi, a Canadian employment platform.

The deal will enable Employment Hero to expand into the Canadian market, while providing thousands of SMEs with an unified platform for managing employment.

What’s more, the acquisition will combine Humi’s knowledge of the Canadian market and localized solutions for businesses with Employment Hero’s global innovation and Employment Operating System (eOS).

With the goal of becoming a leader of the employment management solutions for SMEs, the acquisition will provide Humi’s customers with access to an all-in-one platform for payroll, HR and benefits.
