UNLEASH speaks to Director of Partnerships, Valerie Burns, about the startup’s mission and thoughts ahead of UNLEASH America 2024.
Q: What is Sama’s USP? How are you changing the world for HR leaders?
Sama is a tech enabled professional coaching platform that matches employees to coaches in minutes to meet their objectives and your company goals.
We improve performance by helping you develop and retain your talent through access to coaches as and when needed.
Q: What do you see as top of mind for HR Leaders this year?
This year, HR leaders are prioritizing initiatives aimed at improving company culture to foster a positive and inclusive work environment, retaining top talent amidst a competitive job market, (re)building employee trust, and avoiding burnout by promoting work-life balance and well-being.
They will also be prioritizing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) efforts to create diverse and equitable workplaces where all employees feel valued and respected.
Q: What are you expecting to get from UNLEASH America 2024?
We are eager to engage with HR Leaders from across the nation, build brand awareness, and share how we’re helping companies empower their employees through coaching while simultaneously increasing employee retention and performance.
Q: What are you most looking forward to hearing more about at the event?
I’m looking forward to diving into how AI is transforming HR, more specifically how it’s changing the way we hire people and keep them engaged.
I’m also eager to hear about the different ways companies are supporting their employees, whether it’s through wellness initiatives or helping them grow professionally.
More broadly, I’m curious about the evolution of HR and to see what’s new and exciting in the field.
