Industries across the world are facing a crisis; this is because staff shortages impact their performance.
On the back of many employees, re-evaluating their work/life balance there has been a sharp drop in the workforce, which is now referred to as the ‘Great Resignation’.
In efforts to combat staff shortages, companies have invested in a number of initiatives and technologies. Alongside the reassessment of benefits, the likes of Microsoft have invested in educating and upskilling staff.
To answer growing calls in the learning and development space, the education platform Virti, which uses XR (extended reality), artificial intelligence, and gamification, to further employee learning, has unveiled a new feature.
Virti has announced the Feedback suite, which is designed to help businesses meaningfully engage with and learn from their employees.
The Feedback suite is accessible on the web or from within Virti’s training platform and is designed to contain all the tools that employers need to build and share bespoke digital feedback forms and surveys.
These surveys are fully customizable and do not require coding. This is done in an effort to ease the time taken to create forms that are needed to understand the workplace.
By analyzing sentiment, the suite can convert qualitative response data into actionable insights as well as create clear data visualization through graphs and charts.
These insights, which can be collected in real-time, are designed to enable employers to improve staff engagement and retention.
Speaking about the importance of the new feature, Dr Alex Young, founder and CEO at Virti, says: “We built the Feedback suite to give organizations access to the insights necessary to implement change, drive innovation, grow engagement, improve productivity, and nurture talent.
“The competition for talent has never been fiercer. To retain valuable staff, companies can’t just survey their people in the traditional way. Instead, they must focus on engaging employees on the issues that matter to them.”
Dr Young supports this statement with current statistics: “On average, only 20% of global employees are engaged in the workplace. This costs organizations upwards of $500 billion annually in the US alone. At Virti, we’re committed to delivering a solution.”
Given this lack of engagement and a monetary value in measuring and maintaining employee experience, businesses may find value in customizable and easy-to-use surveys.
Dr Young adds: “Connecting with employees and customers on their experiences is the best way for leaders to open and maintain a healthy dialogue. At the end of the day, happy staff make a successful company.”
