HireVue has bought intelligent hiring platform Modern Hire with immediate effect.
As a result of the acquisition, Modern Hire and HireVue will become a one-stop-shop for interviewing, assessment and hiring automation.
They will serve a combined 1,150 customers globally, including more than half of the Fortune 100. Notable examples include FedEx, Delta Airlines, LG, Pepsico, Emirates, Starbucks, and Mercedes.
This is HireVue’s sixth acquisition – before Modern Hire, its most recent purchase was AllyO, an AI-powered workplace engagement platform, in 2020.
The financial terms of the Modern Hire deal were not disclosed. HireVue is backed by tech investor Carlyle Group.
A new era for hiring

Modern Hire has a 50-strong team of psychologists and data scientists – as a result of the acquisition, this team will work to strengthen HireVue’s already impressive ethical AI research capabilities.
