HR tech will meet needs of companies in 2022
This is according to TrustRadius’ survey of US HR professionals.
Why You Should Care
77% of US HR professionals think the 'Great Resignation’ is a permanent change in the labor market.
How can HR tech help them succeed in talent retention and attraction?
The sudden shift to working from home in response to the COVID-19 threat put a spotlight on the importance of HR tech to the world of work.
As a result, it is no surprise that a survey of more than 750 US HR leaders by TrustRadius found that companies are spending more on HR tech and expect to continue to do so in 2022.
55% of those surveyed said their companies are spending more on HR tech right now. TrustRadius also found that 45% are spending more to upgrade their existing tech stack, while 38% are spending on new tech.
TrustRadius believes that part of the reason why companies are continuing to focus on HR tech investment is because they know the world is not yet in the post-COVID-19 world.
Employers, and HR teams, are not only grappling with implementing a hybrid working model, but other challenges including the ongoing ‘Great Resignation’ and the resulting need to supercharge their diversity, equity, and inclusion (D,E&I) strategies.
HR tech has a role to play here to support employers to better listen and engage with employees, and their new perspectives about what staff want from the world of work, including a more value-led, inclusive workplace.
The ‘Great Resignation’ is here to stay
On the topic of challenges facing HR teams in 2022, TrustRadius agrees with UNLEASH and Forrester that the ‘Great Resignation’ isn’t going anywhere.
Its survey found that 77% of US HR professionals think the so-called ‘Big Quit’ is a permanent change in the labor market.
43% said the change was going to be significant, while 34% saw the change was small but permanent. Only 12% of those surveyed saw the ‘Great Resignation’ as a temporary blip.
Interestingly, TrustRadius found a clear connection between surviving the ‘Great Resignation’ and D,E&I efforts.
71% of HR said the ‘Big Quit’ will have an impact on D,E&I strategies, with 42% seeing this as an opportunity for companies to get laser-focused on diversity.
In addition, 44% said employers need to completely rethink their efforts to ensure they are being genuine and actually implementing strategies that are in line with employee values.
