Established in March 2023, London-based Stackone is on a mission to bring seamless workflow to HR leaders through its unified Application Programme Interfaces (API) that integrate disparate systems. The startup counts Localyze, Reachdesk, and Phrasee among its clients.

Stackone has raised $3.9 million in funding to date, from investors including Episode1 Ventures, Playfair Capital, Portfolio Ventures, Sequoia Scout Fund, and Tom Preston-Werner (Github founder), among others.

UNLEASH speaks to Co-Founder and CEO, Romain Sestier, about the startup’s mission and thoughts ahead of UNLEASH America 2024.

Q: What is Stackone’s USP? How are you changing the world for HR leaders?

At StackOne, we revolutionize HR leaders’ lives by enabling their tools to connect with each other seamlessly.

StackOne’s pre-mapped, unified HR API provides a real-time interface that allows HR technology companies to add dozens of HRIS, ATS, LMS, and CRM integrations to their product at once, including Workday, SAP, Oracle, and more.

Its unique platform works in real-time and never stores PII from customers, enabling companies to sell their integrations to enterprise customers.

StackOne includes all that is needed to build, test, ship, and monitor integrations, with best-in-class security and privacy.

Q: What do you see as top of mind for HR Leaders this year?

Certainly, from StackOne’s viewpoint, HR is deeply concerned about keeping its information safe and secure from ransomware and other malicious actors, while at the same time ensuring it is available and easy to use.

Many unified APIs necessitate the storage of data within their systems to function effectively. However, this practice poses significant security risks.

Storing sensitive information increases vulnerability to cyberattacks, diminishes the likelihood of procurement acceptance by clients, and complicates the removal process when necessary.

Recognizing the paramount importance of data security and privacy, we have implemented a zero-trust approach. With StackOne, no data is retained either at rest or in transit.

StackOne’s commitment to security and privacy is priority number one and gives the company a competitive edge, even as others in the market may overlook certain aspects of security. StackOne stands out as the sole unified API provider in this regard.

Q: What are you expecting to get from UNLEASH America 2024?

We’re happy to be in Las Vegas where so much growth is taking place.

My team and I are excited about the networking opportunities at the show and having easy access to decision-makers and influencers in the HR tech industry.

We’ll be sharing StackOne’s technology story and discussing with whomever we see how our solution is revolutionizing HR practices.

We’re also excited to see all of the attendees’ solutions and to have discussions about the emerging trends and challenges in HR technology.

Q: What are you most looking forward to hearing more about at the event?

My team and I are looking forward to the opportunity to immerse ourselves in everything about UNLEASH that defines the event.

Networking with industry peers, engaging in discussions with entrepreneurs like us, and potentially creating partnerships and winning new clients are all moments we look forward to.

We’re really hopeful to make a splash to a receptive audience of HR professionals, gaining valuable feedback and even industry validation of our platform.
