Payroll & benefits platform Employment Hero doubles UK ARR, surpassing £125M in global sales

Hot off the heels of acquiring Humi, a Canadian-based employment platform, Employment Hero has announced that it has more than doubled its UK annual recurring revenue (ARR) in the last year.

The HR software, payroll, and benefits platform has, therefore, surpassed £125 million in global ARR, marking a significant milestone for the business.

In an exclusive discussion with Kevin Fitzgerald, UK Managing Director at Employment Hero, UNLEASH explores what this means for the platform – and its HR buyers.

Employment Hero’s global impact

With more than six million SMEs, Employment Hero has invested heavily in the UK market since the beginning of 2024. The business’s headcount has, therefore, grown by 60% year-on-year and is expected to exceed 150 in the near future.

Of these SMEs, more than 25,000 are now using the Employment Hero’s all-in-one Employment OS, which provides a range of support, spanning payroll and HR to recruitment and employee engagement.

The platform’s UK ARR has consequently jumped by 125%.

For the platform’s CEO and Co-founder, Ben Thompson these results demonstrate the “tremendous value” that Employment Hero’s operating system has provided to its customers.

Looking forward, Employment Hero is set to launch an AI-powered app to help streamline hiring for SMEs. The app will have a talent pool of over 40,000 UK candidate profiles, while instantly matching jobseekers with available roles.
