Leading HR, payroll and workforce management provider, UKG, has announced Jennifer Morgan as the company’s new CEO.
Morgan will be taking the helm from Chris Todd, who has served as UKG’s CEO since 2022.
Speaking exclusively to UNLEASH, a UKG spokesperson said: “We are confident Jen will empower our teams around the world to drive further value for our customers, our partners, and our people through continuous evolution and innovation as we build on UKG’s decades of market leadership and enter the next level of rapid growth and scale.”
UNLEASH explores more about Morgan’s transformational plans, as well as the wealth of experience that helped her attain this role.
Utilizing past experience from SAP and Blackstone
Prior to taking this role at UKG, Morgan formerly served more than 16 years at SAP, becoming the first female CEO on the DAX index when she took the role of Co-Chief Executive Officer in 2019.
She also sat on the company’s executive board from 2017 to 2020, and steered SAP through many of its most impactful strategic growth initiatives.
She served more than three years at Blackstone as the company’s Global Head of Portfolio Operations, leading a team focused on accelerating growth.
Excited about the move, Morgan said: “UKG stands apart as a category creator redefining what’s possible for improving employee experiences at scale, and I have long admired the company’s culture-first solutions, world-class team and conviction in people as the true drivers of companies’ success.”
She states that she sees “tremendous opportunity” for the business to continue to reshape how companies “achieve their talent and culture objectives through HR, talent, payroll, and workforce management solutions.”
This, Morgan expands, will “exceed customers’ current and future technology needs.”
Taking to LinkedIn, Leading Analyst and founder of Aptitude Research, Madeline Laurano, shared the importance of Morgan’s appointment.
Women make up nearly half of the global workforce, yet they are significantly underrepresented in executive positions in #HRTech. This announcement from a $3 billion company like UKG is a testament to her exceptional skills and highlights the need for more women in leadership roles. More of this, please!”
Morgan has also been recognized globally for her experience and leadership qualities, having been named as one of the Most Powerful Women in Business by Fortune, one of the Most Powerful Women in the World and Technology by Forbes, and receiving a Great Place to Work CEO For All Leadership Award.
Stay tuned for future updates from UKG and Jennifer Morgan.
