Global HCM software company Ceridian has announced it is set to acquire eloomi, a market-leading learning and development platform based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and Orlando, Florida.]
The acquisition will be funded with existing balance sheet cash and is expected to close during the first quarter of the year.
The eloomi team of 140 employees will join Ceridian's 12,000 employees.
A driving factor of this acquisition is for Ceridian to integrate eloomi’s capabilities into its Dayforce platform - the company's flagship cloud HCM platform to improve its existing learning management and talent offerings.
This is particularly important as the global learning management system (LMS) market size is expected to skyrocket, reaching US$54.69b by 2032.
Globally, Dayforce customers will gain access to a single data model and a single experience that includes an end-to-end learning platform, learning content, people development, skills intelligence, and employee communications functionality.
“Together with eloomi, Ceridian will enhance its Dayforce Talent suite of products by integrating eloomi’s learning and development capabilities within Dayforce.
“Once integrated, we believe Dayforce customers will benefit from enhanced learning and talent capabilities, seamlessly integrated within Dayforce to help create more engaging and impactful people development experiences for their workforce.”
Through the acquisition, Ceridian plans to “expand and enhance” its current learning and development offerings in a multitude of ways.
For example, by engaging employee communications by delivering through engaging mobile and web-based news and activity feeds, secure chats, and community space platforms. It will also offer mobile-first frontline training and communication solutions to better connect employees with accessible content and resources.
What’s more, the acquisition will enable powerful AI co-writers to augment content authoring, which will drastically improve the productivity of learning and development teams, while also helping to save time. Curated learning content will also be used to upskill and reskill functionality and personalized learning paths.
Finally, it will provide access to an industry-leading learning content marketplace, which features on-demand, high-quality content.
Korngiebel explains that the acquisition of eloomi will help “supercharge” the people development capabilities of Dayforce, while providing customers with access to engaged learning and development experiences, AI-driven content creation, and extended enterprise learning capabilities.
Claus Johansen, founder and CEO, eloomi, concludes: “Together with eloomi, we'll fulfill our shared ambition of making work life better for our customers and their modern, boundless workforce.”
