PandoLogic, a programmatic job advertising platform, has acquired conversational artificial intelligence (AI) recruitment-focused Wade & Wendy. Both companies are headquartered in New York City.
Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
It seems recruitment tech is hot right now. PandoLogic’s acquisition of Wade & Wendy comes within a month of InterviewIA raising $2 million to eliminate bias in hiring and Ceridian buying Ideal to bolster its use of AI to automate recruitment-related admin.
Wade & Wendy’s conversation AI will also enable PandoLogic to further personalize the candidate experience and eliminate inefficiencies for HR teams.
Talking about the deal, PandoLogic president and CEO Terry Baker said: “As organizations shift more to remote and hybrid workplaces and diversity hiring escalates in importance, our digital-first, one source of truth approach ensures productive collaboration across teams.
“Our Hire Intelligence approach just got smarter with Wade and Wendy’s AI enabled contextual engagement for sourcing qualified candidates.”
Wade & Wendy CEO and founder Drew Austin added: “We entertained multiple offers and chose PandoLogic given our strong cultural fit and solid foundation from which to drive future growth.
“As hiring rebounds sharply, it’s the perfect time for our companies to come together.”
PandoLogic has been busy over the past year. It has opened a new office in Israel, as well as launched multiple programs to help support employers hit hard during the pandemic with hiring.
In March 2020, PandoLogic launched the COVID-19 talent acquisition grant to help organizations boost their workforce to fight COVID-19. PandoLogic’s grant would pay for their job advertising campaigns and help them to respond to the changing supply and demand dynamics.
Following this, the company launched the continued workforce recovery grant in August last year.
Baker noted: “We understand businesses are eager to get back to work and we want to do our part to aid and assist the economic recovery.
“As the economy re-opens, we’re meeting this urgent demand for talent by assisting employers that experienced workforce reductions or furloughs during the pandemic and now need to quickly and effectively replenish their staff with free Talent Acquisition ad campaigns targeting qualified and available candidates.”
