It has never been harder for companies to recruit talent. The ‘Great Resignation’ has put the power back in candidates’ hands and employers are grappling with how to make their organization attractive to job seekers.
In this environment, HR tech has never been more useful to help employers identify and target the right candidates.
So, it is no surprise that the recruitment tech market is booming at the moment. Hot on the heels of Hiretual rebranding as hireEZ with the help of a $26 million investment, talent acquisition platform SmartRecruiters has announced its acquisition of Attrax. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
This comes within six months of SmartRecruiters becoming a unicorn following a $100 million Series E round in July 2021.
SmartRecruiters and Attrax
As a result of the acquisition, SmartRecruiters and Attrax will offer an integrated offering to their customer base, which includes Visa, Ubisoft, Verisk and McDonald’s.
This means that SmartRecruiters’ customers will have access to Attrax’s customizable career sites. Attrax claims that personalized sites increase the conversion rate by 50%.
Attrax’s tech also creates out-of-the-box optimization for search engines and job aggregators to ensure listings are visible to candidates wherever they are looking.
Talking about the deal, SmartRecruiters CEO and founder Jerome Ternynck noted: “Today, career sites are an afterthought, historically disconnected from the rest of the recruiting process.
“This creates an unpleasant experience for candidates and recruiters. We chose Attrax for its impressive technology and proven ability to help customers build award-winning career sites.
“The integration of SmartRecruiters and Attrax provides truly intelligent career sites that operate in tandem with the applicant tracking system (ATS) to deliver hiring success.”
Fosway Group senior analyst Dr Sven Elbert agreed. “As talent acquisition accelerates its transition to a digitized, experience-driven function, companies will need to create much more personalized candidate journeys to achieve their hiring goals.
“By integrating advanced career site technology with their ATS, talent acquisition teams can tap into a wealth of new data and insights to build more effective recruiting strategies and candidate experiences and improve hiring outcomes.”
Now is the time to dial up and personalize candidate experience if you want to thrive in the future of work.
