UNLEASH America: Courageous leadership is about boldness and the willingness to explore new areas
As we gear up for UNLEASH America 2025 in Las Vegas, the Editorial team is reflecting on the standout HR leaders who took the stage at last year’s International Festival of HR. Diving into some of the most important topics in the HR sector with MGM Resort's Chief People, Inclusion, and Sustainability Officer, Jyoti Chopra, UNLEASH discovers how the hospitality giant is tacking courageous leadership, the AI revolution, and more.
“When I think about courageous leadership, for me it’s about boldness, willing to explore new areas, new avenues,” Chopra begins.
She continues to explain that she believes that the space that’s in the intersection of human and social capital, sharing her eagerness to understand that’s “at the nexus of human development and technology.”
Finally, when asked what she loved most about UNLEASH America, she explains that it’s the forum’s ability to bring a range of industries and sectors together.
“I have an opportunity to sit down and have a chat with a faculty member from Columbia University who’s doing some incredibly progressive, interesting work on the future of work,” she shares.
We wouldn’t have normally met, but we did through UNLEASH, and were able to spend a good half an hour exchanging ideas about human capital, the future of work, the workplace, and the workforce.
“And we’re going to continue the dialogue. So I think UNLEASH is an incredibly important forum.”
