UNLEASH World 2024: Any Generation Has Biases: 'We Have to Look in the Mirror at Ourselves' to Lead Teams for Future Success

Award-winning leadership expert Dr Kirstin Ferguson closed out UNLEASH World 2024 in Paris with an incredible keynote unpicking the art of modern leadership.

Sitting down with UNLEASH Editor-in-Chief Nima Sherpa Green, Ferguson delved deeper into the intricacies of modern leadership.

“Leadership is simply a series of moments, and every moment offers us the opportunity to lead with impact. All of us can lead with impact, regardless of what we’re doing or what our position might be," Ferguson tells UNLEASH.

“We as formal leaders need to do a lot better job of reminding the people we lead that they too are leaders and have an impact.”

One of the key themes Ferguson addressed was the need for self reflection and self examination among leaders, particularly when it concerns biases or pre-conceived perceptions.

This is particularly relevant for leaders that may be managing a younger workforce or be struggling to adapt to the emergence of new technologies.
