Le Grande will be on-site in Paris at UNLEASH World 2024. Here’s what to expect from his CHRO panel with targeted advice for his HR Leader peers.
UNLEASH World will return in two weeks to showcase Fortune 500 companies transforming the future of work and our worlds.
L'Oréal CHRO Jean-Claude Le Grand will be among the world's A-list of CHRO and CPO speakers from European giants.
"UNLEASH World is an invaluable opportunity to share experiences, learn from others, and come away inspired to drive even greater change at L'Oréal." Says Le Grand. Here's what he will share with delegates building on current projects and his expertise.
As the world of work undergoes rapid transformation, L’Oréal’s Chief Human Resources Officer has become an integral figure in the beauty giant’s strategic direction.
Ahead of his much-anticipated session at UNLEASH World in Paris this month, where he will speak on a Stage 1 panel alongside other EMEA HR Leaders, Jean-Claude Le Grand gives us a sneak peek into how he is tackling workforce trends and challenges.
How can HR address diverse generational perspectives, navigate technological change, and shape the future of work?
“At L’Oréal, we’re seeing firsthand how crucial it is to bridge the generational gap,” says Le Grand.
This focus on intergenerational exchange, which L’Oréal considers a “powerful source of strength for both society and business,” lies at the heart of their global HR strategy.
He tells UNLEASH, L’Oréal’s approach encompasses a range of initiatives to support employees at various stages of their careers:
“We actively promote intergenerational diversity, ensuring our employees can continue growing and adapting, no matter their life stage.”
As the workplace evolves at an unprecedented pace, he shares he is also passionate about ensuring that L’Oréal remains agile while keeping people at the heart of their operations.
We need to solidify and anchor our fundamentals,” he says, emphasizing the role of HR as a stabilizing force in times of change.
He highlights three key focus areas for his fellow CPOs and CHROs:
One of the most significant HR decisions of 2024 for L’Oréal has been the creation of a dedicated task force focused on generative AI.
“This task force has allowed us to take a step back and strategically assess the implications of this technology on our workforce,” Le Grand says.
Looking ahead, L’Oréal’s CHRO identifies several key trends that will shape his priorities as a leader for the next year, and beyond, and build on this task force.
With excitement building for his appearance at UNLEASH World, Le Grand is eager to engage with fellow global HR leaders. “Reinforcing the human element of HR and showcasing L’Oréal’s commitment to its people is key,” he says, highlighting the company’s people-centric approach even amid technological advancements.
He looks forward to connecting with emerging HR talent and participating in thought-provoking discussions about the future of work.
UNLEASH World is an invaluable opportunity to share experiences, learn from others, and come away inspired to drive even greater change at L’Oréal.”
