UNLEASH made a bold move during the COVID-19 pandemic, it introduced digital content. This newly founded frontier brought with it an amazing editorial team.
Fortunately, you don’t just have to take my – admittedly biased – view on the quality of the team, instead you can trust finance giant WTW.
WTW hosted the 17th annual Media Awards and its first in-person event since 2019. For those not in the know, the WTW Media Awards celebrate excellence in business journalism and has award categories in insurance and risk, HR & employee benefits, pensions, and investment journalism.
Naturally, UNLEASH is laser-focused on HR and employee benefits, so excitement around the awards has been high.
John Ball, head of Great Britain at WTW, kicked off the evening by noting: “I would like to congratulate all of the fantastic winners from this year’s WTW Media Awards and I am delighted that we were able to resume celebrating these successes in-person again.
“The quality of submissions has remained impressively high this year and it is a testament to the resilience of the media industry that it has continued to produce such high-quality, thought-provoking content throughout the past few years. Our judges were impressed by the originality of topics selected by the entrants and the clarity of writing on display. Congratulations to all our winners for raising the bar once more!”
The panel of leading industry experts and journalists found that UNLEASH was “HR & Employee Benefits Publication of the Year 2022”.
This is a huge achievement for the team and was celebrated mightily shortly afterward. However, there’s even more news!
High commendation
If winning HR Publication of the Year wasn’t enough, our very own senior journalist and talent management lead Allie Nawrat was awarded a high commendation in the “Employee Experience & Wellbeing Journalist of the Year” category. Safe to say, the team couldn’t be more proud of our exceptional colleague.
