UNLEASH America: ‘On AI, don’t focus on fears first. As HR Leaders, invite AI to everything that you do’
As we set our sights on Las Vegas for UNLEASH America 2025, the Editorial team is revisiting some of the most insightful leaders who took the stage at last year’s International Festival of HR. Check out why The Wharton School's Ethan Mollick wants HR leaders to get started with AI, rather than over worry about the risks.
At UNLEASH, we are at the center of pivotal conversations for the world of HR and AI.
As much as we honor the past year, our focus is firmly on the future.
We can’t wait to bring together the biggest and the brightest HR leaders and tech innovators at UNLEASH America 2025, May 6-8, in Las Vegas.
If you want to know what to expect, here’s an exclusive conversation between UNLEASH Editor-in-Chief Nima Sherpa Green and The Wharton School’s Ethan Mollick following his keynote all about AI and HR at UNLEASH America 2024.
For Mollick, “the key to using AI is to use AI”.
Speaking directly to HR leaders, he shares: “Everything you legally and ethically can, use it for that”.
It’s very easy to get paralyzed” by the challenges of AI – “I just worry sometimes if people put problems first, they never do anything.”

Mollick goes on to share that an organization’s “entire future depends on whether HR professionals take the lead or not”.
Rather than waiting for an instruction manual or a consultant to tell you how to use AI, HR leaders “have to figure it out for yourself”.
For Mollick the HR function is now “R&D” when it comes to AI.
