Balancing Efficiency and Empathy in Human Capital Management and Leading People

As business leaders, when we consider the nature of human capital management, it can seem like an unending battle between two very different areas of activity, both mission-critical and competing for our attention. One is all the heavy administration. The other can be seen as ‘abstract HCM’, all about the empathy that HR and other people leaders must practice in support of the employee experience and employee sentiment.
