Amy Schultz is the Chief Learning and Talent Officer at DTE Energy, serving 2.3 million customers with an annual revenue of 12.5 billion. DTE is one of the largest diversified energy companies in the country
involved in the development and management of energy-related businesses and services nationwide.
Amy leads the development and execution of DTE’s organizational effectiveness, culture transformation,
engagement, talent acquisition, talent management strategies, onboarding, performance management,
training, and leadership development. She ensures the workforce is equipped to meet evolving business challenges by integrating all aspects of the employee life cycle and connecting team members to company purpose. Amy also oversees the Continuous Improvement team responsible for driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of innovation. She is accountable for building a culture that embraces digital transformation and empowers teams to leverage technologies to improve productivity and high-value work. By integrating DTE’s Operating Model within all human capital systems, Amy ensures that all
team members can exhibit and perform key behaviors essential for future business success.
Schultz earned a certificate from University of Michigan Ross School of Business Advanced HR Executive Program, a Master of Human Resources and Organizational Development from Eastern Michigan University, and Master of Social Work from Wayne State University. She currently serves on the board for the American Society of Employers, Inforum of Michigan, as Vice-Chair for Wayne State University School of Management, and is a member of the Chief Learning and Talent Officer Board for the Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp).
