As the Managing Partner for IBM’s Talent Transformation business, Amy Wright helps IBM clients achieve organizational growth and lasting impact through talent transformation and the application of Cloud and Augmented Intelligence (AI) technology, skills shifts, and new ways of working. Amy leads a global unit, driving diverse talent solutions for clients, through offering leadership development; championing recruitment, integration, and retention of talent; building a culture of engagement; and investing in skills transformation.
Amy’s unique perspectives on the future of work developed from her time as the HR VP for IBM’s Global Business Services unit, a worldwide organization of over 125k employees. Over the past two decades, Amy has led multiple workforce strategies such as creating a global delivery network of centers, the shift to a learning-based culture, the creation of an early professionals program, and introducing cognitive into talent programs. In 2015, Amy was awarded a U.S. patent in the field of predictive analytics in workforce management.
Amy is an expert in the HR domain, most recently co-authoring two IBM Institute of Business Value research studies: “Accelerating the journey to HR 3.0: Ten ways to transform in a time of upheaval,” published in October 2020 and “The enterprise guide to closing the skills gap: Strategies for building and maintaining a skilled workforce,” released in September 2019. She regularly speaks at industry and HR forums on IBM’s research on HR 3.0, HR in the age of AI, closing the skills gap, employee engagement, and culture change.
