Dean has been an innovative and industry-recognized leader of People and Culture for over two decades across Fortune 50, hot growth, and culture-driven organizations. For the past seven years, he has led global People & Culture, Legal, and Finance teams for Patagonia reporting directly to the CEO. He also currently serves as an Independent Director on the Board of Directors for Griffith Foods, a high-growth Chicago-based privately held sustainable food company, as well as served several years as an Independent Director on the Board of Cornerstone OnDemand (NASDAQ: CSOD), a now-private, formerly a publicly traded SAS, cloud-based HR technology company. In addition to Patagonia, he served as CHRO during his tenure at Sears Holdings and Fossil Inc. Leading up to his time at Fossil, he served in a variety of progressive HR and Management roles for Pier 1 Imports, Pearle Vision, and Procter & Gamble.
