Kiran Ahuja

Kiran Ahuja is the first South Asian American and first Asian American woman to lead the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) which provides human resources leadership to federal agencies. Director Ahuja leads OPM in recruiting, retaining a diverse workforce, and championing the work of over two million federal civilian employees. Director Ahuja started her career as a Department of Justice attorney and later served as President Barack Obama’s Executive Director of the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders before becoming OPM Chief of Staff. She graduated from Spelman College and University of Georgia School of Law.
