Muzzamil Khider Ahmed is Chief People & Culture Officer at Baker Hughes. Appointed in 2024, he is responsible for leading the company’s human resources capabilities and operations while shaping the company’s culture to foster a productive, inclusive, and engaging work environment.
Khider Ahmed has more than 20 years of HR leadership experience in the oil & gas and power generation sectors. Prior to his current role, he was Senior Vice President (SVP) & Chief People Officer for Enterprise HR at Baker Hughes, where he led the company’s HR strategy, board interaction for the Human Capital Committee, and horizontal HR capabilities. From 2017-2023, Khider Ahmed was SVP & Chief People Officer for the Oilfield Services & Equipment business segment of Baker Hughes. He was also appointed HR Integration Leader for GE Oil & Gas during the merger with Baker Hughes, having joined GE Oil & Gas in 2014 with several roles of progressive leadership.Earlier in his career, Khider Ahmed held a variety of roles with increasing responsibility for 11 years in oilfield services firm Schlumberger. His roles included HR Regional Support Center for the Middle East and Asia; Geo-market HR Manager for Peru, Colombia and Ecuador, HR Manager for Peru and Ecuador and HR Manager for U.A.E.
Khider Ahmed holds a DEA in international relations and master’s degree in political science from the University of Paris VIII.
