UNLEASH AMERICA CODE OF CONDUCT
UNLEASH America is committed to fostering a positive, inclusive experience for all participants, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, or religion. We prohibit harassment in any form and uphold the highest standards of professionalism at the event. Participants include attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, and staff.
Inappropriate language or imagery, including sexually explicit content, is not allowed at the conference or in presentations. Harassment may consist of offensive verbal comments, displaying sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, unauthorized photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual advances.
Participants who engage in harassment or are asked to cease any harassing behaviour must comply immediately.
Event organizers reserve the right to take necessary actions to maintain a welcoming environment, which may include warning the offender or expelling them from the conference without refund. Organizers may also address any disruptions or hostile environments caused by participants.
These rules apply to all event venues and event-related social activities.
If you experience harassment, witness someone else being harassed, or have other concerns, report it immediately to a member of the UNLEASH America Management Team, a volunteer, or the conference contacts listed below. Management Team members and volunteers can be identified by their name badges.
Our team is ready to assist with contacting venue security, local law enforcement, local support services, providing escorts, or helping you feel safe throughout the event. We value your attendance and expect participants to adhere to these rules at all conference venues and conference-related social events. If you find this policy restrictive, please refrain from attending or speaking at the conference.
PURPOSE
We believe in creating an open and inclusive community for everyone. To ensure a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment, we have established this code of conduct outlining our expectations for participant behaviour and the consequences for unacceptable behaviour.
We invite all sponsors, speakers, attendees, media, exhibitors, and other participants to help us achieve a safe and positive conference experience for everyone.
All determinations of appropriate or inappropriate behaviour are at the sole discretion of the organizers of UNLEASH America, and the decisions made by on-site representatives are final.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR
Be considerate, respectful, kind and collaborative.
Avoid demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behaviour, materials, and speech.
Be aware of your surroundings and fellow participants. Alert conference organizers if you notice a dangerous situation or someone in distress.
Foster a culture of reciprocity by treating others with respect, fairness, and kindness, and expecting the same in return. Actively contribute to creating a positive and inclusive environment for all participants.
UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR
Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to:
Intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning materials or conduct by any attendees of the event and related event activities. Please be respectful to all patrons of the venues.
Harassment encompasses offensive comments (verbal, written, or otherwise) related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability; inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces (including presentation slides); deliberate intimidation, stalking or following; harassing materials, photography or recording; sustained disruption of talks or other events (whether verbal or otherwise); inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Wearing clothing that is unsuitable for a professional work environment, provocative, or potentially offensive.
Physical, written, verbal, or other abuse, intimidation, threats, annoyance, harassment, stalking, pushing, shoving, or any use of physical force that creates a disturbance, danger, or apprehension in a person, as determined by UNLEASH America organizers in their sole discretion.
Possession of any item that can be used as a weapon, which may cause danger to others if used in a certain manner.
Any boisterous, lewd, or offensive behavior or language, including but not limited to using sexually explicit or offensive language, materials or conduct, or any language, behaviour or content containing profanity, obscene gestures, or sexist, racial, religious, or ethnic slurs.
Possessing any open can, bottle, or other receptacle containing alcoholic beverages, except in designated areas. Please drink responsibly.
Possessing any illegal substances, including but not limited to illegal drugs. UNLEASH America does not tolerate the use or abuse of illegal substances.
Smoking, except in designated areas.
Assembling for the purpose of, or resulting in, disturbing the peace, committing any unlawful act, or engaging in any offensive behaviour.
Failing to obey any rules or regulations of the venue.
CONSEQUENCES OF UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR
Unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated, whether by attendees, media, speakers, volunteers, organizers, venue staff, sponsors, or exhibitors. Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behaviour is expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in unacceptable behaviour, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including expulsion from the conference without warning or refund.
REPORTING UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR
If you are subjected to unacceptable behaviour, notice that someone else is being subjected to unacceptable behaviour, or have any other concerns, please notify a conference organizer as soon as possible. All reports will remain completely confidential.
Event staff will be available to help participants contact venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing unacceptable behaviour to feel safe for the duration of the conference. You can report unacceptable behaviour to any member of the event staff. Staff can be found in the show office onsite or you may email one of the contacts below.
TRADESHOW POLICIES
CODE OF CONDUCT: We believe our community should be truly open to everyone. As such, we are committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all. By participating at the event, you agree to abide by the event Code of Conduct which can be viewed through the event website.
SCOPE: We expect all conference participants (staff, sponsors, volunteers, speakers, attendees, and other guests) to abide by this code of conduct at all conference venues and conference-related social events.
PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY CONSENT: Video recordings and photographs may be taken at this event. By entering, you agree to have your image and likeness used by UNLEASH America for news, webcasts, promotional purposes, advertising, inclusion on websites, or any other purposes.
AGE POLICY: Children under the age of 18, including infants in strollers and/or carriages will NOT be admitted into the exhibit hall and/or educational sessions. Individuals under the age of 21, including infants in strollers and/or carriages will NOT be admitted into the Showcasing Events (this includes lunches, brunches and evening events). For the safety of everyone, especially your child, no exceptions will be made.
DISTRIBUTION OF MATERIALS: Distribution of flyers, notes, pamphlets or brochures at the Expo or in any session of the event without written consent is forbidden.
BADGE SCANNING NOTICE: We may ask to scan your badge for security and monitoring purposes. Please note that when scanned by an exhibitor, the bar code on your badge allows the exhibitor to collect your contact details which they will use to contact you for the purposes of event follow-up and to send you marketing information about their products and services. If you do not wish to share your contact information with the exhibitor for these purposes, please do not give the exhibitor permission to scan your badge.
