HR is challenging in the most “normal” of circumstances, but when you add a global pandemic, economic turmoil, or in the most extreme of instances – war – into the equation, the solution for not just managing but doing better, can seem like a world away. Yet, this is where the very foundations of HR superheroes are borne from. HR has been faced with change management and business continuity for many years – as we’ve tried to navigate digital transformation, globalization and unique contexts that have impacted our organizations. The rate of change isn’t going to disappear, and whilst we might all be recovering from the impact of COVID-19, change management and in the most extreme of cases, crisis management is a skill that must be harnessed and honed by the greatest and best HR leaders.
