Jaap Hoogendoorn is Vice President Learning (Chief Learning Officer) for Shell. He leads the centralized learning team of Shell comprising a globally dispersed team of Learning, KM & Technical professionals that partner with Shell Businesses and Functions and support them to learn and adapt faster than the competition. Learning at Shell is integrated with Talent and the remit of the function includes all technical, functional, professional skills, Ethics & Compliance, Safety and License to Operate learning. Jaap has been with Shell for 17+ years in various OD and Learning roles and has worked across the Shell Businesses, Global Functions, and geographies.
Before joining Shell in 2006, Jaap worked in Strategy Consulting, where he scoped, designed, and delivered large-scale transformation programs to deliver sustainable performance improvement for clients across a range of industries.
