Kai serves as Senior Vice President Corporate HR Strategy & Systems at Bertelsmann, a media, services and education company that operates in about 50 countries around the world. His responsibilities include the development of the Bertelsmann Group’s strategic HR priorities and international HR coordination as well as building Bertelsmann’s capabilities in people analytics and group-wide HR reporting. He leads the implementation, operations and further development of Bertelsmann’s cloud HR IT ecosystem and drives HR transformation by harmonizing and governing HR processes worldwide. Under his auspices, HR at Bertelsmann developed to use and benefit from shared platforms and practices for a first time in company history. Kai is a member of the Bertelsmann HR Committee, the Group’s world-wide HR decision-making body.
Prior to his current position, Kai has worked in different roles at Bertelsmann on topics like HR strategy, controlling, talent management and HR communication among others. Before joining Bertelsmann, he worked as a researcher and lecturer at the University of Muenster. Kai holds a PhD in Information Systems and Masters in I/O Psychology and Business Administration.
