Kathleen Fujawa (she/her/hers) has more than two decades of experience as a people and culture specialist, with a specific focus on organizations that support young people. She currently serves as the Vice President, People Operations at Ignite Reading, a fast-growing company focused on helping K-8 students build foundational reading skills. Her expertise includes talent acquisition, learning and development, change management, employee relations, and creating environments of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Kathleen’s approach to the work is grounded in transparency, enabling collaboration, and supporting the people who manage other people, a combination that led to Ignite Reading being named as one of Newsweek’s most loved places to work. Kathleen lives outside of Boston, Massachusetts with her partner and their teenage daughter and enjoys reading, listening to and making music, trying amazing coffee shops and jogging slowly.
