Mariam is currently the Head of the Global Learning and Development Center/Division for Human Resources at the UN Refugee Agency – UNHCR. She leads a team of 100 professionals supporting at 20,000+ organizations responsible for learning, career management, performance management, leadership/people management and staff engagement. She has spent 17 years working in the UN including UNDP, UNICEF and UNFPA in the areas of organizational development, change management, digital transformation, career engagement, well-being, knowledge management, and leadership development. She is a transformational HR leader who brings strong expertise in disruptive HR innovation and building partnerships between the UN and the private sector /academia. She holds a doctorate in Educational Technology, Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.
