Mathieu Sauterey is a consultant in Mercer’s Workforce Strategy and Analytics business in New York. Using research-based methods from applied microeconomics, statistics, and I/O psychology, he helps clients unlock critical insights about their people and translates them into evidence-based workforce strategies. Mathieu has deep technical expertise in consulting to domestic and global organizations on pay equity and workforce optimization projects. He has helped dozens of Fortune 200 companies in the retail, technology, finance, and manufacturing industries achieve pay equity, increase pay transparency and publicly report their DEI results. He has also helped organizations expand the equity focus to look at career opportunities. Mathieu has published research on the application of machine learning methods to pay equity in The Journal of Total Rewards and presented the findings at the 2022 annual WorldatWork conference. He holds an MS in Statistics from Columbia University.
