Nicolas Pauthier

Nicolas is currently leading People Development & Learning for L’Oréal’s 95,000 employees globally. His responsibility includes inter alia the overall learning offer and its roll out worldwide, the L’Oréal leadership development track, the skills governance and roadmap, the performance management model, etc. His 20+ years journey within L’Oréal, a company that has always prioritized people development and a culture of continuous learning as cornerstones of its HR strategy, has been marked by his international career and commitment to talent development and leadership transformation, drawing upon previous experiences in consulting, banking, and pharmaceuticals.

Nicolas’s L’Oréal journey began with diverse HR roles in France, before being appointed as HRD of the largest Business Division in France in 2004. He then moved in 2007 to Singapore as HRD for the South East Asia countries, building capabilities in this fast-growing region. Returning to Europe, he headed L’Oréal Germany’s HR from 2010 to 2015, contributing significantly to the Group’s growth in this key market.

Back to Paris in 2015, Nicolas created and assumed the role of L’Oréal’s Digital and e-commerce Global HRD, leading key HR initiatives to empower the Group’s digital transformation. These included strategies for digital skills development, capabilities building and future-proof organization design.

He is a graduate of a business school and holds a Master’s degree in HR, he is based in Paris.
